AAM Competition had a few goals in mind when designing the R35 GT-R midpipe; enhance exhaust note, free up exhaust flow for more power, OEM fitment, and shave weight! The stock GT-R midpipe is equipped with 1 large muffler, as well as 2 non emissions related catalytic converters, which absorbs a lot of power and sound. Our midpipes are designed with dual 76mm (3") inlets, that merge into a 90mm (3.5") outlet that bolts to the stock exhaust system or most aftermarket systems. AAM Competition midpipes are hand welded in house at our facility in Annapolis Junction, MD with top grade 16-gauge T-304 stainless steel. On a stock GT-R with stock ECU, our midpipe was able to pick up +20 hp to the wheels and +21 ft lbs of torque! Impressive for a simple bolt on that really brings the exhaust note of the GT-R to life. Depending on which midpipe you go with, you will shave anywhere from 8-12 lbs over the factory midpipe.
